We are just loving the response we are getting from Columbia! A couple of weeks ago, we did a post about all of the awesome press we've been getting from the local media. Now, we're TV stars!
WLTX came to visit us yesterday to talk about our awesome cakes! Our head cake decorator, Rachel, was featured giving some cake lessons to the reporters. We think they both did a great job! Click here to watch the video.
By the way, loves, I hope you all remember that Valentine's day is coming up! Have you gotten a sweet treat for yourself or your sweetheart yet? Stop by and check out our selection of treats--they make perfect gifts!
Also, since Valentine's Day is one of my very favorite holidays, I'll be making a guest appearance at the store on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Lady Antoinette's in the Press!
Bonjour, my loves!
Our store has been getting LOTS of attention from the people of Columbia lately, and with good reason! We've got a TON of delicious treats that you can't find anywhere else in Columbia, including cotton candy and salted caramel macarons, wine and cheese cake, and, of course, our GIANT chocolate bacon cupcakes! That being said, we've only been open a couple of months, and ALREADY our store is getting loads of attention from the local media!
A few weeks ago, Emily Folsom Fernandez of Carolina Bride Magazine came by to check out our store, and we wound up being a featured story! We even got a cover mention! The article is not available online, but here are some highlights from the article, featured on pages 12 and 13 of the Winter/Spring 2013 issue of Carolina Bride Magazine:
"[Lady Antoinette's] offers mouth-watering macaroons, beignets, petit fours, and other baked goods so delicious that [the owner] has difficulty keeping them stocked due to already overwhelming demand."
"Brides will be particularly interested to learn that the bakery also offers stunning custom-designed wedding cakes. After a bride discusses her custom-made dress at Bella Vista, she can design a custom-made wedding cake with the help of Lady Antoinette's team of artists."

Last Wednesday, we opened the University of South Carolina's daily newspaper, The Daily Gamecock, and were surprised to find ourselves right in the middle of the paper, with a beautiful half-page spread about our store! In addition to being featured in the Daily Gamecock, our friend Katie, creator and writer of the amazing blog Let's Be Preppy did a write-up about us as well, in addition to being featured on her Instagram (@letsbepreppy) and Twitter (@letsbepreppy) pages! VISTA LIGHTS IS TODAY! And...WE'RE OPEN!
Bonjour, everyone!
Vista Lights is today, and we are just SO excited! Not only do we have our FABULOUS fashion show tonight, but Lady Antoinette's will be OPEN starting at 5PM! You can finally get some of our awesome creme beignets, French macarons, and much, much more! Also, don't forget about our sorority contest! If you are a member of one of the sororities competing for $500, you can register inside Lady Antoinette's! Both actives and alumni are welcome! A few last-minute reminders and tips for the show:
1. Get there early! Vista Lights is a huge festival, and our show alone draws over 1,000 people! Make sure you leave plenty of time to find parking and get a good spot for the show!
2. Dress warmly! It's going to be chilly tonight, so make sure to bundle up! Our show is outdoors, in front of our store at 929 Gervais Street, and you'll want to make sure you stay warm throughout the whole show.
3. There are two shows--one at 6:50 and one at 8:00! We are presenting the same show twice, so don't worry about missing one or the other!
4. Sorority women--don't forget to register! You can register inside Lady Antoinette's French Pastry Shop. There will be a table set up to register, and, if you buy some delicious treats for extra points, there will be a jar to place your receipt.
5. The show goes on, rain or shine! We haven't called off a show in 7 years, so we will be out there no matter what!

Marie Antoinette is in the Building!
Bonjour, my loves!
We here at Lady Antoinette's wanted to do something extra special to help kick off the upcoming opening of our new store, so in early October, we did a photo shoot with our friend Lauren, who took on the role of Marie Antoinette! She got to wear an awesome dress that we customized for her at Bella Vista Bridal, as well as get her hair and makeup done by the lovely and talented students of Paul Mitchell! Check out pictures from this super-sweet shoot!
